Join Art Space

Art Space is a publishing house for Omani art — not an agent and not a gallery. We do not represent you or stand in for you: we take on what keeps you away from your studio, and the work stays yours and the name stays yours.

What we take on for you

Professional photography and processing of the work · documentation and a certificate of authenticity in your name · building your page and a page for each work · collecting payment, including online payment · professional packaging · and arranging shipping and insurance within Oman and abroad.

Shipping and insurance are paid by the buyer at checkout, calculated by destination and weight — so they are never deducted from your net price and never touch what you are owed. We handle the whole process: packaging, choosing the carrier, insuring the declared value, and tracking the shipment until it arrives.

You set the price

You tell us the net price you want for your work, and you receive it in full. We add our margin on top: 30% on original works, and40% on prints — because the cost of photography, documentation and the certificate is the same whether a work sells for eighteen rials or for one hundred and thirty.

Minimum: OMR 30 net for an original work. Below that, we welcome your work as prints and cards — because the cost of packaging and documentation is fixed and does not shrink with the size of the work, so it would consume its value.

For reference: Artists’ net prices for the original works on offer today range from 100 to 8,900 Omani rials, most of them between 100 and 500. Write the figure you believe your work deserves; if we think a price needs review before publication, we will come back to you and discuss it — and no work is published at a price you have not approved.

For comparison: galleries around the world usually take 40 to 50% of the sale price. What we take is less than half of that.

In return there is one condition: price parity. The published price is the price of the work everywhere — with us, with you, and at any exhibition. A collector who finds the work cheaper elsewhere will not buy from us, and inconsistent pricing weakens the work’s value in the market. If you feel a price needs adjusting, we adjust it together and it applies across every channel.

You decide what is sold

The original work alone, or with fine-art prints in A4 and A3, or a commemorative card — or any combination you choose. There is no single template, and not every format has to be offered for every work.

Your rights stay yours

This is not an assignment of rights. The intellectual property in your work — copying, printing, publishing and commercial use — remains entirely yours. What you grant Art Space is a non-exclusive licence, limited to the term of the agreement, for three purposes only: photography and display, producing the formats you have chosen, and issuing the certificate of authenticity.

Your work is not used to train artificial intelligence models, and it is not licensed to any third party. A buyer who acquires the original does not gain the right to copy or print it — and this is stated on the certificate that accompanies every work.

The agreement is non-exclusive: you may show and sell through any other channel, subject to price parity.

When are you paid?

You receive your net price within fourteen days of the end of the withdrawal period granted to the buyer, together with a statement showing the work sold, its sale price and each party’s share. If the buyer returns the work intact, neither party is owed anything for that transaction.

How to join

Fill in the form below. You — and we — will receive a copy of your answers by email for your records, and we will get back to you within two working days.

Then we select. Art Space is a publishing house, and a house has a collection with its own character; not every work that reaches us is published. Selection is made from the photographs you send, before the works are collected rather than after, and we tell you what we have selected and what we have deferred. Deferral is not a judgement on the work, only on its place in the collection today. There is no fee to join either way.

Then we arrange collection and photography of the selected works.
